Registration

Q:     Where do returning players register for the 2013 season?    

A:      Registration for all players is available online at www.vpll.net.

 

Q:     Where do I register if I am new player at VPLL? 

A:      Registration for all players is available online at www.vpll.net

 

Q:     Will there be in person registration?

A:      VPLL is only accepting registrations for the 2013 season via online registration.

 

Q:     What are the 2013 registration fees?

A:      The 2013 registration fees are as follow.  
                       Juniors (player age 13 & 14 only) - $200
                       A thru Majors (player ages 6 to 12) - $175
                       T-Ball (player ages 4, 5 and any first time 6 year olds) - $125                                   
                       There will be a $25 late fee for registrations after 12/7/2012

 

Boundary Requirements 

Q:     Where do new players that reside in the VPLL boundary register?  

A:      Registration for all players is available online at www.vpll.net.
 

Q:     Does VPLL accept players from outside the established boundary?

A:      No, we cannot. Per Little League International guidelines, VPLL may only accept players residing with their parent/legal guardian inside the VPLL boundary. ALL PLAYERS are required to show proof of residency prior to try-outs or final team assignment.   

 

Q:     What proof do I need to establish residency?

A:      Before the season begins, all players will be required to show a current utility bill, as well as their child's birth certificate.  If your child is selected for an All Star team, additional proofs of residence will be required.

 

 

Try-outs (All "ages" refer to "league age."  Refer to "About Us" tab for definition.)

Q:     Are try-outs required?

A:      All players age 8-14 must attend an official try-out. Any player missing the assigned try-out that also cannot attend the make-up try-out must notify the player agent (vpllplayeragent@yahoo.com) in advance to be considered eligible for the 2013 season. Eligibility will be considered on an exception only basis for ages 7-11. There are no exceptions for league age 12 (all 12’s must attend a try-out)          

 

Q:      Are 7 year olds eligible to try-outs?

A:      Players league age 7 with at least one year of T-Ball and one year of “A” are strongly encouraged to play Rookie league.  However, they may request to try-out for AA. These requests must be sent to the VPLL player agent (VPLLplayeragent@yahoo.com) at least 2 days prior to the initial try-out date to be considered.   

 

Q:      Do 4, 5, and 6 year olds try-out?

A:      Players league age 4, 5, and 6 are not eligible to tryout.

 

Q:      When are try-outs?

A:      January 2013 - date yet to be determined.  The site will be updated as soon as the board confirms the date.

 

Draft / Team selection 

Q:     How are players selected for specific divisions?

A:      Players league age 7-14 (who attends try-outs) are drafted into their respective division by the managers in each division.

A:      Players who are "league age" 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 and who are not selected in the draft will be manually placed on an age appropriate team by the Player Agent   

 

Q:     Does my child have to play T-Ball?

A:      Players league age 4 and 5 will be assigned to T-Ball teams regardless of size or ability. There are no exceptions.

A:      Players league age 6 with no previous VPLL T-Ball experience must be assigned to a T-Ball team.
